J stays with Paul K
For summer work in the city
Transitioning school to university.
They share a Mosman top floor.
Windows surround spacious room
Where we lazily lounge
Harbour breeze blows through,
Fresh chilled watermelon,
Voice of Baez, pure crystal chimes.
Combination perfect (if transient).
While, out west …
Summer winds burn.
Dear Max and Paul, I was at the Popism Exhibition at the AGNSW recently and was surprised to find as an exhibit a damaged painting called ‘Phallic Monument’ that I remember finding under the bed at Raglan Street Mosman the summer we lived there with Paul. This picture appears to have become an icon of 1960s Australian Pop Art. http://artsearch.nga.gov.au/Detail.cfm?IRN=177495
